Caitlin’s Selfie with Senior Liz Haala
It was the second Christmas that she had been in Darwin. Mum and dad were working so she booked us into a Christmas buffet and the local pub, and we spent all day there.
This year is the first Christmas I’ll spend without her; she passed during easter.
I saw a reindeer decoration that I really liked and the whole time we spent joking about stealing the reindeer. A couple days later she came over with the exact reindeer from the pub.
This selfie helps remind me that even though I didn’t get a lot of time with my nana she had an amazing life here and she spent them partying with friends and family.
She loved everyone and wanted to make sure everyone knew that.
