The Portrait of a Senior Territorian Award recognises and celebrates the achievements and contributions by senior Territorians.

It also encourages excellence and creativity in the art of portraiture by Northern Territory (NT) artists.

The award is held annually, with 2025 marking the 26th anniversary.

There are 4 award categories awarded alongside the Selfie with a Senior Award.

The Selfie with a Senior Award invites you to submit a photo of yourself and a senior. You must also include a statement of how the senior has inspired you.

Exhibition

This year’s award exhibition will be held from Saturday 12th July to Sunday 17th August, during Seniors Month. It will take place at Araluen Arts Centre in Alice Springs.
